Two vehicle garage tonight! The challenge is to get as close to 1,000 hp (or bhp or PS) combined using the stock ratings . Feel free to offer your ideal garage in addition to a combination that can hit the 1,000 power goal because accuracy and precision yeild two very different ways to approach a target, especially when it comes dreams. Aim well and as always, enjoy yo’selves!

316 horsepower.
645 horsepower. Puts me at 961 (eh, close enough). Plus, it makes me responsible . Or something.

I’ll take a 675LT at 666 hp and a Euro spec 930 slant nose at 330 hp.
Totaling at 996 hp.
Practicality be damned.

Great choices! I wonder if Volvo offers the Polestar ECU upgrade on the V90.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:15 |

About 1,031.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:15 |

Technically I’m about 30 over because the CTR actually makes ~340...
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:16 |

Opposite ends of the spectrum, sweet!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:17 |

I believe they do. Which would be sweet .

First gen Ford GT, second gen Ford Raptor. 550 hp + 450 hp = 1000 horsepower.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:18 |

Scratch that. 2018 S450 (367 PS) + 2018 AMG GT (462 PS) + W113 280SL (170 PS). Total output is 999 PS

I was just looking at GT350 prices and even the base models from 2016 (before the magneride became standard, right?) are still basically at MSRP. The wait continues...
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:20 |

Daily: 2018 CT6 platinum. 404hp turbo 3.0 V6
Sports car: 2014 CTS Vspec wago 556
Total 960.

I’m glad someone else is excited about the GLC 63! I feel like AMG works perfectly for that size and design.

Love it!

Porsche 918 @ 887hp and a 90s 22RE Toyota 4x4 pickup @ 113 puts me at 1k on the nose.
Fun and function, complexity and simplicity. Plus, both should be above average depreciation!

Jaaags, my man!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:26 |

I’m no monster, I’m just ahead of the curve.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:26 |

Damned indeed, this is greatness!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:30 |

You just reminded me that the 911 Exclusive Series makes more horsepower than the Carrera GT and that the Civic Type-R makes more power than the 2005 NSX while having about the same curb weight. Amazing how much power has moved down market in just over a decade. That’s like me telling you the 2030 Civic Type-R will make 580 hp (and weigh 3,800 lbs).
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:33 |

Hmm, not quite my tempo though.

Happy to see some Caddys here!

Price is Right rules?

Ding ding ding, this is the combo that inspired the post!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:39 |
|
I really like this combo! Makes me hope Lexus is secretly moving the GS upmarket into a liftback and/or sport wagon.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:40 |
|
Actually, I think both may be appreciating at the same percentage points right now.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:42 |
|
Nah, I believe in always leaving room for overdelivering.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:43 |
|
I’m hoping they attempt something, but the rumors are that the GS will be discontinued.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:44 |

C7 Audi RS6 Avant (553bhp)
Porsche 959 (444 HP)
Total Horsepower-997
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:52 |
|
I heard about that but even though I can understand dropping the GS nameplate for the ES, and going to a three sedan lineup, it doesn’t make any sense for the next car NOT to share a platform with the LC and LS. Lexus even stated that sedans must deliver the dynamic experience you can’t get with utilities if they are to survive.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:52 |
|
I could see a 500 HP turbo 4 being offered out of the box within a few years.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:53 |
|
Too awesome!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:54 |
|
Initially, I’m thinking ski box on the McLaren but all the steep driveways and speed bumps I encounter would mean so much scraping. So I guess roof box on the Porsche and just get the Porsche replacement radio.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 21:56 |
|
I can see it too, especially with electric motor assistance.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:10 |
|
I think it works well. Every time I walked into the garage, I would have a huge smile. I love the fact that out of the station wagon and the supercar, only the supercar has a low range gear.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:11 |
|
Oh, I mean by itself. K-series can handle a solid 400 at the wheels out of the box as it is. I could see a Civic Mugen RR with a bigger turbo, more aggressive cams, and maybe a few more upgraded internals pushing 500.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:12 |

Lexus LFA: 553
Alfa Romeo 8C: 444
Total is 997! Might be the best sounding garage... in the world.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:16 |

Sonorous and seductive, obviously you meant this to be a vehicular portrait of yourself!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:20 |
|
This is easy.
2005 Ford GT: 550HP
1996 Viper GTS: 450 HP
1000 Pure American horsepower.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:22 |
|
All that heat and still so raw!
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:23 |
|
If I wasn’t *obsessed* with getting exactly 1000hp with factory ratings, I’d pick a couple of 60s muscle cars.
![]() 11/19/2017 at 22:24 |
|
Another possibility would be the Porsche Panamera 4S Sport Turismo (440HP)
And the Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition (563)
Total HP 1003
![]() 11/20/2017 at 02:41 |

Sweet, what do I win?
![]() 11/20/2017 at 04:48 |

mclaren F1 - 627HP
Audi Q7 e-tron 2017 - 373hp
![]() 11/20/2017 at 06:33 |

Oooooooh.... Damn, how do I pick just two?!
![]() 11/20/2017 at 08:41 |

Satisfaction!
![]() 11/20/2017 at 08:42 |

That is a great and unique combo to hit the mark with!
